The resulting\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pwofc.com\/ofc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Practical-approaches-to-Order-from-Chaos-v1.0-17Jun2015.docx\">Practical approaches to Order from Chaos<\/a> summarises into the following steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Be clear about what specific categories of stuff you want to deal with.<\/li>\n<li>Figure out why you want to keep each category.<\/li>\n<li>Take the opportunity to reassess what you really want to keep\/collect going forward.<\/li>\n<li>Decide where the best place is to store each category.<\/li>\n<li>Be clear about the specific space you are going to use for storage.<\/li>\n<li>Decide how you will set out, equip and organise the storage space.<\/li>\n<li>Do a quick sort of each category into sub-categories.<\/li>\n<li>As you do the quick sort, set aside the stuff you want to throw away or dispose of.<\/li>\n<li>Decide exactly how you will store each sub-category.<\/li>\n<li>Go through each sub-category in detail, organising as required.<\/li>\n<li>Set up the storage space\/containers\/equipment and store the sorted sub-categories.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Should anyone try to apply these suggestions, I\u2019d be interested to hear how you got on.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A few weeks ago a discussion with a friend prompted me to try to write down some brief practical guidance for achieving Order from Chaos.
